This is a rebuilt 70's cooker with the PROPER heavy duty cast lids, flue box but with completely new internals so the cooker sould last at least another 30 years burning wood, coal or peat. They were made to LAST then and the quality of the castings shows it - no recycled car body parts in it!

Not your colour? The flameview can be had in MATT black, green, blue or plum -a spray finish that doesnt chip and can be "touched up".

Prefer a new cooker for burning WOOD. The Kookwood - brand new in colour of your choice. British made, vitreous enamelled, all for les than £4500. Boiler version available to heat 10 rads. Twin Aga type hobs central flue Ask for details. Can also be MATT finish for less money.

Too much? How about a fully converted from oil or gas to WOOD/COAL burning RAYBURN FLAMEVIEW ROYAL ?

This started life as a 70's cooker  with heavy cast lids

Note the big firebox and glass flame view door, second photo shows ash pit door with air spinner

Take one Rayburn Royal OF7/Of22/G7/G33 and strip out ALL the fire side, leaving just the 2 ovens and front

Shot blast the front, getting rid of all the old enamel off ALL SURFACES and then machine the front to take a NEW DOOR. Fit solid fuel type flue box.
Fit a new wrap around boiler, grate, inner door assembly and once all rebuilt, spray with HIGH TEMPERATURE SATIN PAINT

Colours Black, red, dark blue,  dark green, (*)

Result - a wood/ coal burner with a nice GLASS DOOR to see the fire, up to 8 rads output and a finish that WON'T CHIP

YOU want a Rayburn for all those traditional values - warm kitchen , succulent roast, baked potatoes to die for, a lasting piece of equipment to burn cheap coal/ wood /junk mail and run several rads and heat lots of hot water. Trouble is -finding one! Since the Miners Strike coal cookers have been unpopular  and the inconvenience of sold fuel  has put people off - so they bought gas or oil versions instead.
This has left a gap in the second hand market as the tide has turned and oil and gas cost a fortune - so let's get a coal / wood version and cock a snoop at HIGH FUEL BILLS!
Where to get one?
New a Rayburn 355 - latest name for the Supreme, Nouvelle - is £4600 and to be honest nowhere near as well made as the earlier cast iron versions that were designed for coal. For example the flue box - a vital part that takes a huge amount of heat, then cold damp air when the cooker is out - rots quickly if not made of decent material. Older Rayburn had them made of thick cast iron - new ones thin steel. Need I say more?
So what we have done is take a 1970's or 80's cooker that was BUILT HEAVILY and completely refashion it to burn the coal or wood. Each cooker is HAND MADE and so you are sure to get one that is just right for your needs. For example you may require a LEFT HAND chimney model- Rayburn stopped making those in 1988- but we can supply one. Need a single lid version that's just like Granny had ( nostalgia rules!) yes no problem. Bespoke to your needs not a problem. It's even possible to take your OLD Rayburn and make it like this one - certain models only!

(*) We could do one with ORIGINAL GLOSS ENAMEL at a lower cost- ask for details.

These cookers are remade to order and the wait is currently 3-5 weeks so don't delay -if you want one pre WINTER now's the time to order.Discuss with us today and we can work out the cost including delivery and rolling into your kitchen- or you can collect. No we don't install so you will need a heating engineer.
want to see one ? Well it's a visit to our works in North Wales- just over the border some 20 miles south of Chester, one hour from Birmingham or Manchester

Cost subject to delivery about £2900 -but that will last you ages as its ALL NEW INSIDE! Delivery 4-6 weeks from order placing. Terms 50% on ordering, balance prior to delivery. You need an OF22,OF7,208K, G7 ,G33 cooker as the basis of the new model!

Rayburn 400 Series- models 460,480,499 .We do not supply these as they have real build problems after 5+ years

E BAY - you can buy a cooker on e bay for let's say £300 - £800 then you have to collect it - van hire and time and fuel say £200?  then it needs parts such as bricks, fireclay, grate, grate support, ash can ,operating tool maybe a boiler- cost from about £500 for that lot - or up to £1400 for a Supreme / Nouvelle cost so far £800-£2200 without labour .Then it needs plumbing and a chimney (ALWAYS for solid fuel) and that can mean a Planning Application, plus a HETAS registered engineer (CORGI gas, OFTEC oil, Hetas solid fuel)
You still might buy the WRONG THING!  Then you have WASTED all your money & time.

That's WHY you are better off buying from someone who knows what they are selling & can offer you a GUARANTEE!

We (the trade) have been caught "on the hop" for this solid fuel demand so have few second hand cookers ,and they ALL get chipped enamel ! CREAM cookers weren't popular until recently - so any second hand ones WILL be chipped as probably pre 1990 . Re-enamel isn't practical. as they are NOT DESIGNED TO PULL APART. No, you cannot repaint over the glass enamel PROPERLY!

We stock MOST SPARES (except cast body parts like doors and tops) on www.agafixspares.com for Rayburns inc bricks, grates, ash cans, flue boxes (after 1958) ,boilers .Check your model on the SPARES section on this site so you know which bits you need!
